I loved The Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot and was excited to read another book by the same author.

This was such a beautiful story about grief and the unlikely friendship between Eddie and Bella. I love that the story is set at a charity shop and Eddie works there and sorts through the donations.

Despite the storyline being a bit unrealistic, I can't imagine that he has never been kissed, I loved the story.

Eddie is hoot with style and his use of a dating app to love for his first kiss. I love how they helped each other grow.

Kim Durham, Clare Corbett and Natalie Nightingale did a great job bringing all the characters to life.

Wow! This book is spicy!! I love that this story is inspired by the song, Stacy's Mom, which has been popular again.

We have Ginny who lost her husband a few years ago and has been grieving and hasn't really done much. She gets a new tenant and her life is turned upside down.

Her new tenant, Austin, is hot and brings home a different person night after night and she catches him in the act one night. This awakens something in her.

At the same time, she hires Micah to help with her yard. There's attraction between Austin and Micah and Ginny.

Their relationship is purely sexual and it helps Ginny live again. I wasn't expecting much but a sexy smutty read and this totally fits the bill.

Branden Davis-Bulter, Troy Duran and Cole Eubanks did such a sexy job with the narration. This is one to make sure to listen with headphones.

I am so sad this is considered historically fiction when I grew up in the 80s. We have Zippy who works as a commissioned sales person at a high end department store.

This is a story a coming of age story, Zippy's worry about her family, her relationship with her father and toxic work environment.

I love all the 80s references from the shows to the brands that were popular then. With the AIDS epidemic in the 80s, this was lightly touched and thought it could've been delved deeper.

The story was a fun flash back but none of the side characters had much depth.

Caitlin Kinnunen did a good job with the narration. I could feel her innocence and her struggles.

Thank you @marinerbooks @libro.fm @harperaudio for a copy of the book.
emotional

It seems like I am an outlier to not loving this story. I was expecting a total emotional read as this is about grief.

The story kept me interested and I appreciated the twist to the story. I found that the narrator, Carly Robins, read this more as a rom com vibe and I didn't get the emotional roller coaster from her narration.

I always didn't buy in with the twist about the trip to Hawaii.

I did appreciate Mina's relationship with Kate, her BFF.

Artemis Dark Vader stole my heart. From her love with bacon to her straight forward questions. There were parts of the story I enjoyed and parts that felt a little slow. The romance between Alex and Nate was not as developed as I would have liked.

Kirt Graves did a good job with narrating these characters.

I read this series out of order and so I was happy to go back and get Emmaline and Graham's story. I am a fan of marriage of convenience and this was such a fun story. From their disastrous meet cute and throughout the book, they are so good together.
Since I already knew Emmy's siblings, it was fun to see them in this story too.

Sebastian York and Savannah Peachwood did a great job bringing these characters to life.

I didn't know what to expect from this book but it was intriguing with POV of a sex worker looking for her ex-boyfriend.

The story is a little dazed feeling as Ruth doesn't really actively look for Dino but seems him in odd places. The story is about Ruth looking for love, friendship and a sense of belonging.

I had a hard time with this with ambiguous plot where we don't know what happens to Dino. I was hoping to get more of his backstory and what led to his disappearance.

Christine Lankin did a good job with the narration.

Thank you @macmillan.audio for this audiobook.

I was expecting a light fun rom com and this was not it. Don't let the illustration cover fool you. I enjoyed the premise of the story with notes passed in books. I wanted more romance and this story focused more on other topics.
I think if marketed the right way, I may have adjusted my expectation and enjoyed it more.

Anything these dynamic duo writes, I will read it. This was a new college romance between Finn and Scottie. I love the banter and fun in the story. There is an element of mystery as well with Finn.

The story was entertaining despite some heavier topics and provided lots of funny moments to balance it out.

While I enjoyed this novella, I feel it was a bit unnecessary to get Adena's POV. I will continue to read the story which I loved.
