Thank you @smpromance @netgalley for ALC of Good Girl Complex. I am a huge fan of Elle Kennedy’s book and this one did not disappoint. I love that Mac & Cooper were from totally different upbringing and different economic background and they were friends first. Their attraction was fire and I love the slow burn! I appreciate that their love story is messy  and felt so real. I hope Evan gets his story next.

I love the dual POV and the narration was great.

Thank you @berkleyromance for a copy of Bold Love.  I am a fan of the Pine Ridge series and this one can be read as a stand alone. I love both the small town setting and the instant connection between Bee and Denny. It was extra plus for me that Denny is Hawaiian and the author had the right pidgin used and talks of Hawaiian and Filipino food. I laughed when Denny’s parents came to visit because everyone from Hawaii brings good to share.
slow-paced

Thank you to @smpromance for a copy of The Arc. This was a story of high end match making service.  This story centers on Ursula and Rafael as they start their dating journey. I thought the pacing was a bit slow with just Ursula’s POV the first 25% of the book.  I like the idea of the pressure being off for them as they were perfectly matched by the Arc and they could be themselves. I enjoyed the dual POV and the pacing of the narrator.

I loved the slow burn between Aaron and Catalina. This was fun enemies to lovers romance and all the tension was amazing. The steam was worth the wait.

This was a great mystery of a tight knit community and not knowing who to trust. I liked how the story unfolded with Ruby’s return from jail and how it cases such a stir.

What a beautiful story. This was a great story about PTSD, grief and how to process it. It only takes 1 person to make a difference to someone’s day. It really is up to how you treat people.

Thank you @berkleyromance for a copy of The Runaway Heiress. After reading this, I feel I need to pick up more romantic suspense which is such a great combo. The book was well paced and I felt like Sarah could trust no one. I love how Mick sensed her distress and was able to be there for her. There were lots of twist I didn’t see coming. I do wish the ending was flushed out a little better, it just wrapped up too neatly for me.

Thank you @berkleyromance for a copy of Seoulmate. This is a continuation of Heart and Seoul and can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading it to get more of Hara’s background.

I loved this story so much!! It was good to see how Hara navigate her new life in Korea as she learns the culture, her relationship with Wansu and her complex relationship with Yujing. My heart broke for her as she struggles with these issues.

I love seeing Hara’s growth during this process and how supportive Yujing was and was so unwavering with his love for Hara.

BTW, this book will make you hungry!

Thank you @smpromance for a copy of How to Love Your Neighbor. I read Ten Rules of Faking it and enjoyed it so I was happy to hear this is book was part of the series involving one of the Jensen brothers. This book is a stand alone and it was nice to see Everly and Chris appear.

If you are looking for a fun forced proximity, grumpy and sunshine characters and closed door dormancy - this one’s for you. Noah and Grace was great together and I love the things they did together. I appreciate that Noah was discovering himself and figuring out what he wants in life.

I thought Morty stole the show in this book. He was just so grump and sweet. I want a neighbor like him.

Thank you @gallerybooks @valentine_pr_ @laurenlaynebooks for Made in Manhattan. I am a huge fan of Layne’s books and this was so perfect. I love the juxtaposition between Cain and Violet and insane their chemistry was. I love how Cain was certain of who he was while Violet questioned her life and what she wanted. I enjoyed the setting of NYC and NOLA and explored these cities. The slow burn was so worth the wait in this story.
