Told in present day in Valentina’s POV and Eloise in the past POV, you get a story about what happened with Eloise.
I enjoyed Valentina’s POV as she is starting over and going on a scavenger hunt and learn more about her mom.
I found Eloise’s story depressing and it seemed like she didn’t try hard to find her daughter. I get that she couldn’t when Valentina was younger but once she turned 18, I don’t know why she didn’t try again.

Thank you @grandcentralpub for this beauty love story between Eva and Shane. There is so much pain with both of their backstory and how they connected for a week when they were 17. I really enjoyed their current interaction and how they never stopped loving each other. The story is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time.
Eva’s daughter was such a gift in this book. She was extremely insightful for a 12 year old and brought so much light in the story.

This was a great American historical fiction during prohibition. I liked that Laurel did what she had to do to survive. There’s a lot going on with the story and everyone seems like they are out for themselves.

Thank you @berkleyromance for a copy of If You Ask Me. I am not so sure how I feel about this book.
Here’s what I liked about it:
- Violet’s advice column was a hoot. I enjoyed having each chapter start with her advice
- Dez was a total cinnamon roll and was what Violet needed
Here’s what I didn’t like:
- How quickly Violet got over Sam. Her growth seemed a bit to quick for me
- Violet’s “friends” were not that nice to hear and she forgave them so quickly
- I felt that Ashleigh had zero consequence with what she did to Violet
Overall, it was a fun read and it dealt with a lot of heavy topics like infertility and cheating.

A beautiful story about the author’s journey with luekemia during her battle and her life afterwards. I cried for her pain, her loss of friends she made along the way. This story is heartbreaking but also gives you hope with all the people she meets along the way and finding her way as she recovers.

Thank you to @gallerybooks @netgalley for a copy of Scandalized. I don’t watch K-dramas but I envisioned this would be how the book is.
This was a great first crush romance. I liked that Gigi had no idea that her childhood best friend’s brother was a full fledge celebrity. Their connection was hot!! I am typically not a fan of Insta love and thought the author did a great job of making this not Insta love in the span of the 2 weeks.
All the characters were likeable and I was vested in seeing how Gigi and Alex make the relationship work despite living in different countries and Alex being so high profile. I can’t wait to read more books from Owens.

Thank you @booksparks for this cute clean romance. This was a story about Savannah and her secret romance book that she was writing while taking in the advice and comments from her mystery editor.
I thought the comments were fun way to develop a relationship. I wished we saw more interaction between Will and Savannah to make the romance more believable.
Over all this was a quick sweet read.

Thank you @smpromance @netgalley for a copy of The Suite Spot. This was a heartwarming story about starting over. I that Rachel took a chance to go to some place unknown to her to give her and her daughter a better life.
The story is sweet and I enjoyed seeing Mason and Rachel’s relationship develop. I wanted to see more of their interactions and maybe a little less on building the hotel.
I thought the ending wrapped up a bit quickly and felt that Rachel acted a bit impulsively. Overall, this was a sweet friends to lovers, forced proximity romance.

I don’t read a lot of fantasy romance and glad I took a chance on this. This was such a fun read. It grab my attention from the first chapter. I love the attraction between Devraj and Isadora. The fantasy element gave it a great twist. I need to now read the rest of this series.
Thank you @netgalley for a copy of the book.

Great ending to these novellas. Noah is a totally sweet heart and glad that he finally won Olivia’s heart.
