Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. I am really loving this series and seeing the growth individually in a group of Latinx friends that grew up in NY. This story focuses on Alba as she secretly pines for her grumpy boss Theo and her desire to start her own business. I love how Theo was pining for Alba and didn't express any of it during her time as his assistant.

Once Alba moves to Texas and Theo agrees to participate in a reality show in Texas do things change. Theo became the best cinnamon roll and the heat and banter between the two was amazing!

I love Alba and her friends and look forward to more in this series.

Marlowe is starting over as a PA for a costume designer boss from hell on a tv series. I love seeing the growth of Marlowe in this story and how real it felt. I wanted to see her succeed as she is pressured by her parents to do better and a job that was unsatisfying. 

Now on to Angus... appears to be a grumpy actor but he is so much more. The story delved in how under the scrutiny of paparazzi and social media is so stressful and what you see is not always true. 

Marlowe and Angus started off so rocky and I love how they developed a friendship. This story is so well written and I loved their journey.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of Look Closer. At the surface this book is about a couple, Simon and Vicky, with their 10 year wedding anniversary coming up. Then a dead body turns up and somehow, secrets are revealed on how they are involved. Be prepared for a wild ride! I love all the twists and turns and not knowing who is the bad guy. Everyone has a hidden agenda. 

The story is told in 4 POV and I loved all the narration.

Thank you @readforever for a copy of this book. I was drawn by the premise of the book with f/f romance, a Jewish family that runs a Christmas tree farm. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I liked how mature Noelle is and how she managed her attraction to Miriam while saving a failing Christmas farm. There was a lot of characters and I am very curious with Hannah and Levi's story. I wasn't very vested in Miriam and Noelle's story, I just there wasnt enough to lead to a romance. 

Thank you @netgalley @macmillan audio for a copy of Widowmaker. This was a dark thriller with solving 2 cases, the random killing of a cop at a convenience store and a 20 year old cold case. The story is told by Morgan and Hudson. I love all the dark secrets with each character and how it intertwined. I enjoyed the narration and the story kept me guessing. 

A fun story with a grumpy and sunshine MC. I love how rustic Owen's life was and how Cole wanted to escape his life. I didn't think the main rub/secret should've made such a big deal. I enjoyed the narration and the book.

The men of Bromance series have been so lovable and Colton was such a gooey MC. Gretchen was a harder to love, totally understand she had family troubles but she was a bit extreme for me. Overall, the book was fun but not my favorite from the series. We didn't see as much interaction with the bookclub as the other books which is my favorite part of the series. 

I enjoyed the narration and wished there was another narrator for the holiday book in the story. There wasn't enough change in the voice distinct the stories.

Thank you @libro.fm for a copy of The Kiss Curse. This book is so fun and perfect for this time of the year and great alternative to spooky trades. I loved the first book and enjoyed Gwynn's story. The arrival of Wells and him opening a competing store made this rivalry so fun. I love the tension this created and the two joining forces to figure out why Gwyn is losing her magic, they just can't resist the attraction.

The narration was great and made the book so fun.

I enjoyed the premise of the book with a murder in a newly developed community and so many secrets. I liked how the story unfolded in currently time line with the investigation and past leading up to Rhy's death. Everyone was a suspect and I enjoyed how it unfolded. The book was slow at parts but it didn't impact my enjoyment. I look forward to the next book in this series.

estranged family. The story is full of twist and turns and you never knew who to trust. I enjoyed the game aspects of the story and the narration was so well done.
