I loved the first book and was excited to continue Josh & Gemma's journey. I think we should have stopped there and didn't really need this follow up. If you read this, you need to read the first book or be lost.
The narration was a lot of fun but the story line felt disjointed. Why throw Ian back in and create a triangle and then redeem him? I wanted to see more Josh and Gemma together and learn to reacquaint with each other and didn't see that.

Thank you @libro.fm @macmillan.audio @minotaur_books for a copy of this book.
This was a well written novel about the disappearance of Isabelle and Ben's son who was abducted while they were sleeping. The story begins a year later and Isabelle is still trying to figure out what happened to her son while her marriage has fallen apart.
The story is told in Isabelle's POV alternating with her childhood and the present. I enjoyed how the story unravel and the twists of the story. I appreciate that all the characters were flawed and so much depth to them. The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life.

Thank you @prhaudio @berkleyromance for a copy of this book. If you are a fan of Crazy Rich Asians and high fashion society, this is the book for you. Sam has a big desire to become part of the fashion world and be a writer for a highly desirable fashion magazine. Her best friend Anya, introduced her to Tim and drum up a fake heiress persona for her. Sam gets swept up with the lifestyle and starts losing herself. The narration was great in the story and I love seeing the love interest develop between Tim and Sam.

I was not a fan of the first book and with everyone raving about this series, I had to give book 2 a try. Really glad I did because Rhys and Bridget was 🔥🔥
This was a slow burn for forbidden romance between a princess and her bodyguard I love how thoughtful Rhys is making Bridget happy while protecting her.
I love the dual POV and the narration was so good!! My only rub with this story is why did her brother not step back in after the rules about marrying a non-noble birth person was changed. Bridget in the whole story didn't want that position and his brother chose love.

This was a good small town second chance romance. I enjoyed seeing the relationship that was formed between Joann and Ashley. The small town aspect was great with how they protect the community against paparazzi and take care of each other. It was great to see Joann rekindle her relationship with Nick

Thank you @readforeverpub for a copy of this sweet romance. I enjoyed seeing Ash and Rose together and how they both had secrets they were keeping. It was good to see Ash over come her fear of loving again and Rose letting go of her fears as well. I enjoyed that this book explored how to deal with anxiety and how the characters treated their issues.
Rose's sisters were a hoot and added a fun dimension to the book.

Thank you @macmillanaudio @smpromance @netgalley for a copy of the audio and ebook. This was my favorite of this series and bummed we got all 3 sister's stories and there will not be more of their story.
The story focuses on Harley who had a crush on a single dad when she was 18 and meets a few years later on a chance. I love how the story showed that grieving process and it doesn't end in a few years - it felt so real.
I love Gavin's devotion to Peyton and seeing his struggle with his relationship with his in laws. His MIL was so overbearing and made me cringe. The star of the book was Peyton, she was such a sweetheart.
I enjoyed seeing Gavin & Harley's friendship develop into love and also Harley's growth as well.

Thank you @simonschuster for a copy of this book. This was such a fun YA coming of age romance. This book has so much depth with following your dreams or familial duties to first love and family expectations. Zahra is your typical teenager trying to figure out what to do after high school, except her mom is trying to set her up with a nice boy that will take care of her.
I love seeing Zahra's growth and how she handled the match with Harun. I am typically not a fan of love triangle but thought the author did a great job and how Zahra acted is exactly what I would expect at her age. I appreciate the Bangladesh culture that was in the book as well.

Thank you @prhaudio for a copy of this book. This book grab my attention from the first chapter! Don't let the length of the book intimidate you, it is fast paced and it just sucks you into the world of the Wadia family. The book is a bit of a family saga, mafia, forbidden love, social class and told in multiple POV. My favorite character is Ajay, who works for the Wadia family and his story. The narration was superb and brought the story to life. I do wish there was multiple narrators for the different POV.

Thank you @getredpr for a copy of this book. I was intrigued by the premise of the book being set in Kauai during a rainstorm. The story centers on what happens with Annie when a stranger knocks on her door and ask if she can stay to weather the storm.
I wanted to know how Serena and Annie was connected. It took a long time to get to the connection and the story was a bit repetitive. There was a convo that Serena speaks she was an only child and again Annie ask her later in the book if she is an only child. Not sure if they was an edit error or meant to show Annie's state of mind.
The storm made a tense setting. I didn't understand why if Annie opened her house to a stranger to not be with the rest of the family in the main house for safety in numbers. I think this book had potential but needed to be fleshed out a bit more.
