Loved it even more than the first one. I just love the overall vibes of this book and the progress of Emily and Wendell's relationship <3

I was not expecting myself to like this book as much as I did. I came to care for the characters, and intrigued by their developments. As I usually read Epic fantasy, this book was a breath of fresh air, with even high stake chapters written in such a way that they make you laugh and feel comforting.
The writing was incredible and I can't wait to read the next works in this series!!

There are so many things I love about this one. From the flawed yet loveable characters to the intriguing plot and relationships, this book hits the right spot. This was the one that made me realise that I appreciate romance as a subplot rather than the main plot. I'm writing this review after I reread the whole series so I'm just more amazed by the fantastic character development. And the slow burn in this is just chef's kiss. This is a book I'll never be able to get over lmao

Very sweet and melting romance. Loved the side characters and the whole book. The ending got a little boring for me, but it was still worth it.

Hands down one of THE best and thought provoking books I've ever read. The creeping sense of something being off, the neglectment of women, the creepy narrative? Everything about this is just perfect.

Oh I love how Rick plays with the symbolism of Old age and its phobia. PJO will forever be a fav series of mine.

Sigh...
Yeah this book really wasn't my cup of tea. The plot was way too similar to Red Queen to make it original and the romance was just wasn't it. I still have no idea as to how Pae and Kai fell in 'love' with each other because imho all they ever did as communication was flirt. Like there was attraction yes, but love? Damn no. Kai felt like a character who was developed "for" paedyn and for the readers to swoon over by looking over way too many tumblr writing prompts. Their wasn't really much explorations of his thoughts if they weren't explicitly centred around Paedyn and his reaction at the end was just bland. Pae felt way too much like y/n in wattpad ffs and as a reader, I seriously can't remember anything defining about her personality that's not related to being observant and having gray hair or liking honeybuns. I'm sorry this book just wasn't my cup of tea. It was a quick read, yes, but definitely not a memorable one.
