I was not expecting myself to like this book as much as I did. I came to care for the characters, and intrigued by their developments. As I usually read Epic fantasy, this book was a breath of fresh air, with even high stake chapters written in such a way that they make you laugh and feel comforting.

I also really loved the small detail of Wendell having a cat while Emily has a dog, which is actually quite contradicting to their personalities at first glance lmao. Needless to say, I really loved the romance in this book, and how it didn't over power the actual plot, even if it played a big role.
The writing was incredible and I can't wait to read the next works in this series!!
