Cute & spicy.
Cosplay, fanfic, body positivity & neurodivergence rep.

The 1st full length novel did not disappoint, more sass, more emotion, new friends, old friends -even if Murderbot doesn’t want to admit they are friends.

I get it, it’s theatrical, the personalities of the bros because of Fyodor’s influence on them, the reader & narrator are sharing a joke about how over the top it all is. But I didn’t like it. I read for entertainment, I was not consistently entertained-I was consistently frustrated
I will let the public’s view on the prosecutors speech sum up my feelings. “But that was all rubbish” “there were some vague spots” “got a bit carried away”

I keep describing it as Anne Rice meets The Witcher. Unique, elaborate worldbuilding, complicated characters, twists on well worn vampire & shapeshifter lore.
It had a good recap of the previous book at the beginning &the audio narration is excellent.
1 part dragged, but for the most part it was easy to get absorbed in & THAT ENDING was absolutely packed with action &drama. I cannot wait to see where this goes in book 3

For a while every chapter was more surprising than the last, it was not at all what I expected -in a completely weird and fun way.

This was really too short, should have just been shoved at the end or beginning of one of the others. But it was good for what it is and was interesting to get a different perspective

A very bingeable domestic thriller,  I found both the FMCS tragically relatable at points but I hated the ending.
We’re going to make the abused wife a bigger villain than he abuser who is a murderer, narcissist, pedo? Oh fuck you

Bride

Ali Hazelwood

DID NOT FINISH

Couldn’t get into it. Everyone’s behavior seems incredibly random.

Lavinia

Ursula K. Le Guin

DID NOT FINISH: 34%

100 pages in I cared nothing about the characters and the plot was not holding my attention
