The Rhaego fans are going to LOVE this one 🙂↕️❤️
So while this couple's story wasn't my favorite, I KNOW the diehard Rhaego lovers are going to eat this up and rightfully so because that man deserves only good things forever and ever.
I remain so fucking invested in this series because the background plot is so GOOD and this addition was diabolical! I. WAS. IN. TEARS.
This left me feeling the same way I felt after Resisting Maxu. (Which was like WTF JUST HAPPENED HOW COULD YOU DO THAT I NEED TO KNOW MORE NOW, you know?)
Full review to come because I have a lot of thoughts!
I'm also now a Maggie fan for life. One of the best side characters since Meg was first introduced- get that lady her own book and/or novella STAT because I need to know which luckily Clecanian ends up with her.

At six, I’d thought love was a full belly; at sixteen, I’d thought it was wildflowers and gooseberries and Mayapple’s mouth on mine. At seventeen, I knew better: love is whatever you’re willing to kill for.
Eerie. Romantic. Dystopian. 🤌🏻
A full collection of short stories from Alix E Harrow when??
This was fine 🤷🏻♀️ Didn't love it but it was enjoyable enough.
I think the book needed to be longer so we could spend more time with James and Ridley. it felt like too many time jumps and being told what happens rather than getting to see their relationship evolve on page. The entire premise was really cute and domestic but I just didn't feel super connected to either of them.
As it stands, the most interesting character here was Phoenix (Ridley's 15 year old trans and disabled son- who I did love.)

If I had a nickel for every time I've loved a book about a gay wild cat, I'd have two nickels.

(h)Um?
I... was so invested in this weird little story and it felt like it was culminating into something horrifying and then it just... did nothing?
What a weirdly disappointing ending.

Fucking fantastic. A must-read nonfiction for your TBR.
Hey I don't like that there are no more issues currently. 🥲
OF COURSE we hit a standstill as soon as I get invested in these little romantic side quests.

Me after a Volume 4: I think Aiden should just shut up and kiss Harvard
