fast-paced

Really trying to hold myself back from saying, "I dig it." But, alas, I am only human. 😞

Derek Craven is indeed a Freak and a Wreck in equal measures. I adore him, your honor 😇
funny lighthearted medium-paced

I devoured this series like I was on a deadline or something.

Loved the art. (swoony character design)
Loved the premise and the antagonism in the first season. (the build up and the tension were 🔥)
Loved the slow burn. (giggling and kicking my feet the whole time)
Loved the autistic-coded MC. (my shaylaaaaa 🥹)
adventurous mysterious slow-paced

Just a big, big fan of sapphic lady knights 😌❤️

We just don't have drama like we used to because what do you mean they rescue a bear and it's just a random Tuesday?

This was fun and romantic. and scratched that itch I had for a queer norm fantasy setting.

It was a lot more magical whodunit than I anticipated and the mystery definitely kept me on my toes. I almost wish we had gotten to focus in on Nic and Dashiel a little more though because those moments of angsty yearning were definitely my favorites.

Oh, and I adored Lady Leaf. Her and Nic's relationship reminded me a lot of Gwen and Arthur in Gwen & Art Are Not in Love. Their comradery and antics were so sweet.

Your students forgot you. It was natural for them to forget you. You were a brief cameo in their lives, a walk-on character from the prologue... They forgot you. But you did not forget them.

A really fun and interesting twist on the magical school setting told through the perspective of one of those walk-on characters.

I ❤️ Murderbot

Reread with the Graphic Audio and it was enjoyable but I still think I'm a Kevin R Free purist.

The King's Weaver

DID NOT FINISH: 6%

Was vibing with the sample I got from KU and then came to reviews to see the author uses AI in their writing, cover design, AND audiobook narration. So unfortunately, that is a hard pass for me.

The hunt for an interesting queer romantasy continues.
