Excellent follow up to the first book! Shane and Ilya are everything, I’m so glad they got their HEA ❤️

trans man at camp and his wife leah
price and fabian
miscommunication as shane wants to stay hidden more than ilya
11th nhl season of hiding, 7 seasons hooking up and 3 seasons in a committed relationship, isn’t it 8 seasons of hooking up tho
love seeing ilyas opinion of troy
ilya is so trolly
shane bottoms
shane likes to be clean and is eating healthy while ilya is the opposite
they are so in love after 3 years together, 11 years hooking up
ilyas mental health struggles/depression and goes to therapy with a russian therapist
shane learns some russian
still learning to be in a relationship
love seeing troy and harris from ilyas perspective
wish i remembered the scene where ilya came out to troy and he almost guessed he was dating shane
ilya gave up almost everything for shane but shane still almost likes hockey more
shane is scared ilya will leave him despite the truth of how much he loves him. i understand that anxiety
after their fight, shane figures out most of ilyas issues on his own. ilya finally lets shane in. ilya bad at sharing his feelings. mostly just holds it in and gets mad
omg what ilya said to shane when the plan went down was beautiful
cleared up why shane didn’t go to one all star weekend, he was injured
ilya loves shane more than hockey, shane loves hockey more than ilya loves hockey
want to get married and have kids
shane not interested in topping and ilya not interested in bottoming but assplay is fair game sometimes
jealous of guys being able to come out and be with their SO
love how much ilya loves dogs
love some of their banter
i see now why the previous book ended in march
poor ilya and shane
love the contrast between their coaches especially how one knew it wasn’t a joke and the other asked, and their teams
nice found family with ilyas team
ilya peaceful being outed while shane is a wreck
shane chooses ilya over hockey
love seeing them being able to be a public couple
wish there was a convo with luca at the end
very sweet ending. so happy for them
can’t wait for lucas book where they’re in their 12th season and luca finds love. i love this team
glad ilya has shane’s parents too
met 13 year ago in saskatchewan
perfect ending for them glad they get to be out, walking together outside holding hands, and on the same team, living together with a dog. glad it mentioned wanting kids but didn’t talk about that in the epilogue
i wish they weren’t outed and were able to come out in the summer like they planned but it makes a more interesting story that they were
i can’t wait to see more of this ottawa team!! the found family vibes are amazing

Ilya's journey was perfect. Shane was stronger in the first book a little annoying in thr second one but he came around.
