sooo ridiculous, not as good as the others, bit fanservice-y and too much trying to tie up loose plot and feature characters from the rest of the series. but very fun.

I think the first book was better tbh. The angst in this one literally hurt my chest, and I did cry, but it all felt like maybe it was a little too long. I freaking loved these characters though and I was so happy to go further on their journey with them.

I hope to god that one day we get another Ilya/Shane book ♥︎ I’d love to see them as dads!! But for this book, it was raw, relatable with Ilya and his mental health issues, and filled my heart. Love these two so much

Ended up trying again after DNFing pretty fast the first time.

I hated how Shane was being portrayed as an uptight prick and the dynamic had changed where Ilya was doing the chasing. It felt like it was going to be a very long epilogue. This is what I said on my first review:

As much as I enjoy an epilogue in my romances, they aren’t particularly sexy because the tension is gone. This was going to bore me and again, I didn’t want to start getting turned off by Shane.

A lot of that still holds, but it was worth the read for Ilya who is legit funny, and such an incredible book boyfriend. I’m glad I finished it.
