What a woman! McBride's sharing of her story of political activism and coming out as transgender has educated me in many ways. She has just announced that she is running for Senator in Delaware. I wish her all the best in her future career. Then there's the personal. My husband and her husband died from the same type of cancer, her's closer to the throat, I think, and in the tongue, mine in the sinus. There are many similarities in our stories of our cancer journeys with our spouses.

Beautiful, insightful, and heartbreaking memoir by Sarah McBride is the first memoir in awhile where I shared both happy tears and moments of open sobbing. Sarah is a tireless activist for people who are transgender and she has taught me SO many lessons on how to be a better ally for my family, friends, and students who identify as transgender. Sarah, thank you for sharing your life and work in your book.

Tomorrow Will be Different is an absolute must read. Her story about coming out as trans, working in politics, meeting and then dealing with the loss of her husband is a roller coaster of emotions. But I felt relentless optimism and faith in humanity undergirding the entire book.
It’s also so informative, and made me so much more aware of the perspective from a trans person’s point of view - from assumptions made about their sexuality, about the right people seem to have in asking about their bodies, about their given names, or the myriad tasks of daily life that are made difficult as trans in order to avoid confrontation.
Most importantly, we should all be loved for who we are, not who we could have been. Trans people are no different.
I’m excited to see McBride’s intelligence, charm, and optimism carry her far - since the publication of this book, she’s already become the first transgender state senator.
Oh, and some guy named Joe Biden wrote the foreword and it made me like him that much more.

Remarkable read. Sarah is so courageous and strong, going through so much at such a young age. I love that she constantly points out her area of privilege and mentions trans WOC in her stats. Great memoir, can't wait to see more from her.

I don't have the words for how fantastic this book is. If I could only recommend one memoir that I've ever read, it would be this one. This book is emotional, intersectional, profound, powerful and so deeply personal. Sarah McBride is such an inspiring person, and her moving story had me crying tears of sadness and joy. This book also addressed so many important issues through the lenses of personal struggles, activism, politics and policy. As someone who loves political books, this was especially engaging as it is a personal memoir, and it also shows all the connections between advocacy and the legislative process. Ultimately, this book is a powerful and compelling story of hope, LGBTQ+ love and activism. I think Sarah McBride is an amazing role model to all young people, especially and this book left me overflowing with hope and inspiration for the future. I know it's only January, so it's a bit early for me to be saying this, but I truly believe that Tomorrow Will Be Different is easily one of the best things I'll read all year. Please read it.
