Sarah McBride has a voice that manages to be both very unique and universally explanatory at the same time. She has the perspective of being a trans woman deeply involved in LGBTQ advocacy, all the while being conscientious of the privileges she has in coming from an accepting and progressive circle of family, friends and colleagues, while white.

She has this perfect balance in both acknowledging the the privileges this has afforded her and the inherent hardships that come with knowing you are not thoroughly recognized, accepted and protected by the law in all of the country you live in and love.


Sarah is a brave young woman, utilizing her voice to explain in simple terms what it means to be transgendered in a way that’s easy to understand and empathize with. She gives another face to the cause of equality, and helps humanize it even further- showcasing what the good fight is all about.

I don’t think I can objectively review something that evoked such a strong emotional response from me. All I can say is that Sarah McBride and her deceased husband Andy Cray are amazing human beings whose passion for transforming the laws on transgender human rights is truly inspiring. I will now get back to my sobbing.

This book had me in tears. They were tears of love, happiness, and hope.

My emotions are so strong from reading Tomorrow Will Be Different that it's difficult for me to write anything other than a review that gushes about how great this book is. I will try to do justice to the awesomeness of this book by just saying that we are all better for having such a strong and positive change force in our lives as Sarah McBride.

Setting aside the emotions, I can also affirm that the writing in this book is approachable and thoughtful. This is not a stuffy book about research studies and medical facts; it's a story about a person's journey.

I also have to say "thank you" to being able to understand transgender, sexuality, intersectionality, and gender so much better than I've struggled to understand it in the past.

Loved her story, 4 stars only because it got a little too political nerdy for me. Totally get where that focus comes from just too deep into that world for my liking.

Sarah McBride is truly an inspiration to not only those in her community but people around the world! Her memoir was really enjoyable on audio and really emotional at times when she shares her late husbands struggle with cancer. Definitely a book everyone should read or listen to!

So glad I read this.
