Jill Shalvis reliably writes pleasant, easy to read, likable books. The most notable thing is her consistency. Her books always provide a nice escape in beautiful surroundings. There’s usually family drama, but her main characters are decent human beings. She’s a great go-to author for a beach read type of book.

This was an odd but cute friends to lovers, 2nd chance romance with some angsty banter and military romance twist. Just a lighthearted, Hallmark style romance book.

The Friendship Pact was such a wonderful romance, with the prickly Tae and the stoic Riggs in the main roles. The other important characters were also very well fleshed out, and it was great to get to know them all.

Another amazing story from this author! Two people with a broken past find that helping others can bring them back together. It’s a kismet story!
What did I like? You just can’t go wrong picking up a book by this author. This is a three dimensional story with All The Feels! I couldn’t help but get sucked into this story. The friendship pact was a fun and flirty book with very little angst but tons of fun.
Would I recommend or buy? This would make a great beach read. I will definitely be buying a copy for my shelf when this comes out. Five huge entertainment stars. I just love second chances!

I loved this book. Tae is a strong but vulnerable woman who wants to protect her mother & be at a place in her life where she feels secure. Her mom April loves Tae & just wants to be the best mother to her & to fix her own life to be a good mom.
Riggs is figuring what it is be with back in his hometown & be with his brother.
I liked the relationships in the book. The are also some laugh out loud moments & moments you can identify with.
