OMG this was SO bad.  It took me forever to finish this train wreck because I actively had to convince myself to read it in between other books I was actually enjoying.  …if it was such a struggle, why did I continue to suffer, you might ask?  Because internet people RAVE about it.  I was absolutely convinced it had to get better… SPOILER ALERT: it didn’t.  The writing was amateurish, about 400 pages longer than it needed to be, and just plain bad.  The characters were moderately insufferable and their development was bad.  The plot, although promising in premise - was bad.  The spice, though prolific, was - you guessed it - BAD. 

1.25 ⭐️ (extra quarter star given for the non-cannon bonus spicy scene at the end of the e-book which may have been the only redeeming smut in the whole godawful tome)
