I am kinda disapointed by this. I loved a lot of the conversations being had, but I feel like it's only accessible to people who already understand and sympathize with the argument that R.F. Kuang is posing here. While it is nice to read about uprisings and strikes, it helps fuel more fires if it's understandable to the crowd who needs to be persuaded. This felt very stiff and academic for your "average reader".
