Great characters. Great writing. Meh plot. Am I still biased and in love with Leigh Bardugo and everything she writes? Yes.

There was such a weird sense of ease and mundane about this book which would’ve made it boring to me traditionally. But, I am melancholy for this story and these characters. I don’t know exactly what I was supposed to get from it besides feelings I cannot muster. If that’s it, though, then I’m content.

F it all. Honestly. Why does this book have to body slam me on the concrete ever five pages like this? What are you gaining from my misery?!
