This is a mafia romance with elements and heavy nod to Alice in Wonderland and it is BRILLIANT
Lee tackles the importance of mental health and letting go of grief, anger while working through the sadness. I’ve never read a mafia romance that deep dives into the way abuse and loss can work it’s way into your mind and soul and ultimately consume you. This is a duet about letting go and overcoming to be the best version of yourself
With all of its heart touching moments, there are equal moments of steamy, leg crossing spice!
I’m going to miss Kane and Onyx but I am VERY excited to read more about the lives of other memorable characters from Wonderland.

I absolutely LOVED this novella.
It follows two of my favorite characters so far which are Arlo and Rina. Arlo is a right hand man to a mafia boss while Rina is the cousin of that mafia boss who would much rather read and keep her distance from people than socialize (CAN RELATE!). The have known each other for years and both of them are so in love but no one says a thing! THE PINING.
The chemistry between these two jumps off of the page. Arlo has such a sweet side that Rina sees each moment they spend together and Rina shows Arlo that she might not “oh so sweet” all the time.
I wish so badly that this couple received their own book within the series but regardless I ate this up and left no crumbs.
