While this book does a good job explaining the backgrounds of Masters and Johnson, I felt it fell short in the parts that got most interesting, granted that could because of lack of information or research, but I felt we just was the first layer of information, but not the whole picture. We got what the author wanted to tell us, which I felt was a narrow view. The book paints Masters as a controller of Johnson, and he was, but sometimes I wish we got to no more about the personalities, mostly from Masters. I have not done any research outside reading this book, so maybe the view we have is what Masters and Johnson wants us to have.
Overall, the book was decent recap of the research and then their marriage and the cultural implications of their work. Okay read, I felt it could have been researched bettered. I felt that some of the chapters were mislabeled or misplaced and there was repetition.
