It was good. There is lots of names throughout the book and sometimes I felt lost on who was who or I ended not caring about certain characters in the Prohibition. I skimmed a few parts because I felt it dragged on. It was good. Now I need to watch the Ken Burns Documentary on Prohibition.

It is always hard to rate a collection. But I felt this collection did a good job collecting works from all the countries and that they were diverse enough. Some I enjoyed more than others but I appreciated the collection.
While the stories take up 75 percent of the book, I wished there was more critical essays.
Considering I did not read most of the series (I gave up after The Queen of the Damned#3, I attempted but gave up) I was not that confused. Anne Rice retells without it feeling that she is retelling the story up to this point, so that is also helpful. Granted there were a few things I didn't have clue what the story was about, but it did not detract from the overall plot. Good read, but drags on, so be dedicated Anne Rice, IWTV/TVC series fan.
