Thoughtful and evocative.

Beside being downright laugh-out-loud hilarious, it's is quite insightful in its tale of self-doubt, loneliness, human interaction with invasive technology, and the relationship between consent and the unknown consequences of playing with something bigger than you. There are quite a few cringeworthy moments, though, and the vivid descriptions of sex, making out, and porn were...a little too much for my taste. The book also owes large percentages of its plot to swearing, drugs, alcohol, so on so forth, things I don't usually mind in books, but in the case of Be More Chill I did feel as if it was too much. If you're sensitive to that sort of stuff, Be More Chill will not be very enjoyable for you. But if you're like me, it's a fun and interesting read and you gotta give it one thing - you'll be laughing so hard you'll get cramps.

You can't rate it, because it wasn't meant to be. That's a bit like getting a birthday card from a friend and them criticizing the cover artwork.
It's hard to write a review, for many of the same reasons.

Knowing that the Harry Potter series is for children, I knew what to expect, and that wasn't much. However, there are quite a few moments of genuine snort-and-giggle moments of humor, not to mention how very developed, immersive and magical the world J.K. Rowling's classic low fantasy world is. A truly enjoyable light read for children of all ages.

More than met the expectations I formed after the first book, and the plot twist at the end genuinely took me by surprise!

Even better than the first two, imo! These books are pure enjoyment, and though the style is simple, it holds magic! And the plot twists will make you dizzy.
