Informative, accessible, delightfully written, filled with wit and enough insteresting facts to convince a whole class of 7th graders that you're their substitute history teacher, I found At Home by Bill Bryson deliciously enjoyable! Highly recommend!

This is one of those books that make you laugh out loud in public.

Somebody read The Hunger Games and went "you know what would make a lot of money? This,,,, but less gripping and twisted."

Even worse than the first.

Does LOTR even need any more reviews? Everyone's heard of it, everyone knows the plot more or less. Lemme just say it's sweeping, vast and immersive, although the heavy, dusty language might be a trial for those who like their books witty and to the point.

That scene when all the armies are hesitating before the armies of Mordor and then Merru and Pippin are the first to charge? Ahagayjosoqbsga I mean,,, that's just *clenches fist* *tear trickles down cheek* it was Good thank you Tolkien

"Look mister Frodo! The king has got a crown again!"
I'm not crying, you are.

Colourful, adventurous and enjoyable, this is (in my opinion) the perfect children's book.

If you're not already a middle earth nerd then don't even try to read this. If you are, though, dig right in. Enjoy your confusing and violent elven history, nerds.
