This was a good read, a cute romance with character development. Observing as Grace manages her mental health and defining herself by her own standards,coming into her own and her identity had me rooting for her. The romance itself was a bit fairytale ish but that was okay. The obstacles, struggles, her journey was realistic and having a POC lesbian love story? 💕Thank you for this!
This was an enjoyable read! A nice little spin of beauty and the beast without the Stockholm syndrome. The plot and characters were multifaceted, the women were strong and independent. Definitely recommend. Might consider reading the second book to see what Isobel is up to
Thought it could be a good read based on the synopsis but it fell flat. Underwhelming read. Would have preferred an index in the beginning or end for the terms that are used throughout. It starts as if it’s the second book to a series. Stockholm syndrome for sure because there is no way, none that you will say your captor isn’t too bad. Love story? Where was the build up? I didn’t see it. Wasn’t impressed by this at all.
