I wasn't blown away by this at all. Granted, the script wasn't terrible and I did not experience it in its intended medium, but the accusations that this reads as glorified fanfiction are exactly true. It's not true to the characters or plot of Harry Potter. The plot is full of holes and instances that simply left me shaking my head. That said, Scorpius Malfoy was a gem of a character and this play does have a few poignant moments, although not nearly as strong as ones within the original series. I'll not be putting this on my library shelf with my other beloved Harry Potter books, because, in my opinion, it doesn't belong there. It's not Rowling to me and it's not Harry Potter as we've all come to know and love it.
This is a great continuance of the series. The plot really starts to build in this and minor characters become much more important. It's nice to see more of the story than just Claire or Raki's perspectives.
Some artwork and skips in point of view were confusing, but overall I loved that the battle slowed down enough to appreciate every detail. The fact that all the ninja on Naruto's side just wanted to follow him got a bit old in the way it was expressed, but it was forgivable. The plot twist at the end of this one makes it an AMAZING read!
Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the most beautifully illustrated mangas I've come across in a long time. The themes are emotional and applicable. The manga is equally humerus and thought provoking.
