I loved Love Him Free and was a bit reluctant about the rerelease, I thought I won't read it. But eventually I'm interested in the series, the characters, so when I was stuck with my readings and wanted something comforting I comitted to this release. I have to say, I loved this more! I'm all about those subtle changes that occured. It also helped that it was available for free not long ago.
I loved it!!! I love Sloane Kennedy, Pelican Bay is my favorite series of hers so far, and I was so excited for this book. I can't really explain why I'm so obsessed about her works, I just love the atmosphere, so heartful and soulful stories.
I consider myself a hardcore May fan, I feel really blessed, that I found his books. I loved this series so far, (I think I still need to review those too), but I have to hold back a star.
So it started so deep and soulful from Dio's point of view, but I feel the circumstances of their love relationship around the middle.of the story was a bit anticlimatic. The action and the mishaps were fun to read. And I can live without the extra scenes, as they only available on patreon, and I'm sadly not a patron (but it also felt a bit weird, though I get it and respect the author's choice).
Just.. I think... what I'm trying to say is, the emotional build up and the chatarsis usually a bit bigger. Or I hoped for it? Maybe it's a me problem.

I think this was my favorite from the series so far. I really felt Nerva's and Joseph's pain and angst. And I loved the twist in the end.
