Finding Home is a pleasant, quick read, only amounting to 188 pages in this edition as there is a bonus story in the back. Cindy and Scott are each dealing with personal, relatable issues that are holding them back from attaining happiness. Troubled with bad memories and lingering guilt, each character must overcome these obstacles before he or she can move forward.
Scott is the perfect man, whose image is tainted in Cindy's opinion after their first meeting. He never tries too hard to change her mind. Actually, the people of the small town are the ones trying too hard. If it wasn't for the glimpses inside Scott's head when the story is told from his point of view, you might think he was made of pure subtle confidence.
I choose not to read the back of books before reading them if I can avoid it, and it was fun to discover things about Cindy and Scott as they discovered these things about each other. Both of them approach every situation with caution, so their chemistry builds slowly.
I enjoyed the book, and it held my interest enough that I finished it in a couple sittings over the course of 2 days. I just think the summary on the back doesn't really do it justice.

I plan to purchase this book once it is published!
