Great premise, but this story was fairly slow going and bordering on boring (the magic system was soooo interesting, yet it still fell flat) until about 60% through. I enjoyed that last 40%, thus the 3 stars. That first bit was 2 star material though.

This was an adorably cozy romance. The Pumpkin Spice Cafe has coffee, lovable characters, the perfect small town setting, a dash of mystery, and a bit of spice. As the title might suggest, it's definitely a perfect fall read.

New yearly, September, re-read.
I first read The September House last year and binged it. Loved it. Haunted House stories are a favorite of mine but this one is on a different level. Such a fun (like even, funny-haha) and gross time.

The audiobook is great!

Another punny, queer (double the lesbians!), and cozy adventure.
Settle in for a light-hearted romp, with more love and more puns.
I loved that there was "One Shot" of spice (right at the end) that you can choose to read or pass on. ❤️
Jessica Threet was a fantastic narrarator.
All characters had their own, distinguishable voice(s). The puns were executed perfectly= cute and dorky.
