I was a little skeptical about reading this book, but I ended up really enjoying it. Ted Grayson is a popular news anchor who is effectively “cancelled” due to a rant that surfaced on social media. The book jumps between many different perspectives including Ted, the woman he rants about, his wife, his daughter, his coworkers, etc. I found the book to be a witty portrayal of how social media and cancel culture impacts everyone involved in public scandals. Thank you Goodreads and Putnam for my copy of Talk to Me!
This book was a very fun read. It started out fairly light and fun. Claire is a musician who was kicked out of her band, so she gets a gig playing guitar for a mommy/baby playgroup. Seems harmless, right? As the story goes on you learn that the women in the playgroup have secrets, and those secrets make for a very surprising ending. Hankin’s characters were entertaining (I LOVED Claire) and even some of the characters I found annoying had some redeeming, relatable qualities. Thank you Goodreads and Berkley Publishing or my ARC!
