This definitely could have been condensed for the sake of pacing, but I did enjoy the topic of secret elite societies and the twists were fun.
challenging informative slow-paced

Very much an in-depth look at Malcom X’s entire life while also being a heavy criticism of politics and social dynamics that eerily ring true to this very day.
emotional hopeful inspiring medium-paced

Definitely a must-read for Olympics fanatics or those with kids who have a dream of becoming professional athletes.
adventurous dark mysterious medium-paced

As someone who has only been exposed to Blade through his movie appearances, I thought this was a great collection to show us who his character is in comic book history. I do wish that they released this collection in color, but that's just a personal preference.

It's definitely obvious that this book contained the outline that ended up becoming 'Passing' and it was equally sad and frustrating to watch our main character suffer due to the societal issues of that time.

This was adorable! It really spins the romance tropes on their heads and I love that this book also deals with realistic traumas.

Considering BOTH introductions (Margaret Atwood and Stephen King himself) fully stated that he essentially finished writing this book because he needed money really made it obvious when actually reading/listening. This story definitely benefits from being adapted for sure.

I think this needed to choose between a time-travel mystery or a time-travel romance because I honestly wasn't a fan of all three elements in the same book. I do think that the author has a beautiful writing style so I'll most likely give another one of their books a chance.

This had everything that I wanted for a queer romance that also has a focus on a culture that is strongly against queerness (in this case Iranian culture). This is perfect for fans of 'Last Night At The Telegraph Club and ‘A Woman Is No Man.’
funny hopeful lighthearted fast-paced

Half star deduction because Iceman's side quest REALLY didn't need to be included and was literally just shoehorned into this one-shot to sell his series. Otherwise, I thought this was a solid look into Mystique and Destiny's long-term love and it was a nice touch to have Chris Clarmont's interview and a relationship timeline included.
