A little too much on the teen romance but I think this did a great job and using Ivy's story as a representation for Mother Earth in a way that should make it easier for everyone to understand the importance of taking care of our planet.

UGH! So many emotions in the best way possible! Equal parts gut-wrenching and heartwarming. A perfect book for people who have experienced loss but need something uplifting.
challenging informative slow-paced

TBH the narration is not great and the author definitely had some biases towards certain films and tv shows, but otherwise I thought that overall subject matter was easily digestible and made me want to go back and rewatch a bunch of the shows and movies that were featured in this.

Very ‘Black Mirror’ Lite type of mystery. A bit of a slow burn, but I don’t mind that when it comes to these types of stories. Ending was a bit meh but I still enjoyed the ride.

This book is a great example of how differently everyone processes grief, and the importance of finding people who are going to support you in all phases of it. On a lighter note, this is a great armchair travel book for those looking to visit Spain.

IMPECIBLE narration! Very much felt like I was a character in the story and gave me the chills at all the right moments! BRAVO!

Gorgeously emotional collection of poems that touches base on so many aspects of the modern immigrant woman’s life.
informative slow-paced

This definitely meandered a bit, but overall I thought that this was very informative (particularly in regards to economical aspects).

Went into this completely blind and I’ve gotta say that I was super impressed by this collection as a whole. The story itself was complete and concise. The character, no matter how big or small, were fleshed out enough to understand who they are. And the fact that she also illustrated this entire book is so damn impressive that I can’t help but give this an extra whole star.

Literally only finished this book because it was a part of a reading challenge. I do still want to check out 'Three Women' by this author to see if she's better as a nonfiction writer.
