I’m a sucker for Multiple POV books and I feel like this had a lot of potential but missed the mark. I think there was slightly too many characters for the overall plot, but I also think this could have worked as an anthology where each story ties into the main event. I will say that the descriptive elements were very on point so I definitely want to give this author another try.

Kind of missing a lot of backstory, but otherwise I had a fun time reading this.

Equal parts immersive, thought provoking, and infuriating. Wonderfully written! Can't wait to read more from this author!

2. This country (USA) is terrible
3. This would make a great movie

Definitely a must-read for fans of The Creature From The Black Lagoon or horror fans in general. Also super informative regarding women in the film industry without being heavily focused on those who are actors.

I think if Roman was completely erased (or at least severely reduced) and replaced with the high stakes mystery that made this book end on a cliffhanger then I would be giving this a higher rating. I loved the first book, and I'm really hoping that a conclusion is coming soon because my God I need to know how everything is going to end.

Tbh waaaaaaaay better than I was expecting this to be. The plot was very cinematic and exciting the entire time. The only thing I wish there was more of was the witch hunters. Maybe a spin off series or an adaptation?

I really wish this was a full-length work because the storytelling was great, but too short.

Slightly predictable, but very well paced and a well-contained story without any questions. Can definitely see why this got turned into a movie and looking forward to watching it in the future.
