I read the Ramona books when I was a kid, and was curious to see how they hold up. This one was written in 1979 and in some ways it shows. But both kids (ages 7 & 4) enjoyed it.

David Tennant as the narrator is responsible for at least 1 of the stars. I started this one in the car with Henry. He wasn't super into it but I couldn't get enough and ended up finishing on my own. EXCEPT. There are no girls! There is 1 girl dragon and at the very end I think you possibly get a mention of Hiccup's mother. I don't love that.

We are listening to the audiobook narrated by Kate Winslet. She is so good that it's making one of my long-time favorites even better!

Considering the subject matter, this was a lot funnier than I’d expected!
