The Road

I don’t know if it’s the edition or how this is written but I’m just not feeling it. Maybe I’ll try with a different edition…maybe the audiobook? We’ll see if I tackle this again in the future

A Touch of Darkness

I don’t know if I just wasn’t in the mood for this, or previous similar books changed how I viewed this one. I may try to pick this up in the future but right now I’m going to move on and see where things lie for the future

The Sleep Experiment

I made it about a third of a way into this book and I considered finishing it but honestly I just kept thinking “I want to just read the Russian Sleep Experiment”

My main thoughts on this are that the doctor feels kind of Mary Sue-ish, and every female that’s in this book seems weirdly attracted to him. Which normally wouldn’t be an issue, but I was more interested in the actual experiment and not the…fluff? Filler? Whatever you want to call it

Honestly, if you’re wanting to read it - go for it but I’d personally just stick with the original Creepypasta

I tried to make it to 100 pages, I really did. It sounded so promising and the reviews looked like it would be right up my alley

This was slow, and really the only character I liked in the first 74 pages was Esther. She reminded me of my mom a bit…

This book really wasn’t for me but I hope whoever reads it finds a way to enjoy it

Imaginary Friend

I’d been really interested in reading this one but I’m glad I rented it from the library rather than buying it outright…

I read 22 chapters and the religious talk and undertones drove me nuts…

I’ll just read a synopsis online because I’m struggling only 120 something pages in…I can’t imagine reading 700+ pages of this…

So I was never really a fan of Lord of the Flies. I know it’s a classic but it was just not a great read for me. I’ve heard pretty interesting things about this book and I wanted to give it a chance. I didn’t actually read the full book which is why I’m marking this a DNF. I did read the interviews and newspaper articles though. So I got the general idea and the crawly feeling people described when it’s recommended

A Wrinkle in Time

Madeleine L'Engle

I’ve heard this was a classic and I wanted to try reading it as I never did in school. I tried. I legitimately tried.

It was really hard to read when a lot of the language was hard to understand - which can normally be really well done. But this just made my head hurt trying to understand what they were talking about

Maybe I’ll come back to it later, maybe I won’t
