I think I would have rated it higher if the ending wasn't so abrupt.
It turns out I can't read about a romance where one Love Interest ghosts the other and then lies about not knowing them. This trope is not my jam.

Two really well plotted crimes but the narration and characters are really ...flat? Detached? It's hard to describe but I probably won't read more of the series due to the narration style .
