In Rapinoe's memoir, we see how she stood up for she believed in, regardless of the backlash. She did what it took to have her voice heard. In the process, she helped pave the way for future queer athletes. Rapinoe clearly knows what she wants and goes for it. I did not know anything about Megan before reading this, but have so much adoration and admiration for her now. This is a beautifully written memoir about the struggles faced by women in sports, people of color in sports, and queer folks in sports. 

I read this with a professional group and I highly recommend. This book brings up so many unique concepts that can be incorporated into our daily lives, at work and at home. The author uses solid research, statistics, and facts to backup the theories presented in this book. I learned so much about myself and tools to takeaway to show more perseverance in the tasks I take on. I was jotting down notes from at least every other page. 

This story was dark and lovely all at the same time. TJR takes the story of a band and their drama and drugs and turns into a tale of friendship, loyalty, and legends. I really enjoyed the interview layout of the book, it made it so fun to follow along as the story of Daisy Jones and The Six unfolded. I highly recommend this book on audio. There is a full cast of narrators and some recognizable voices.
