It was a very interesting reading since I knew nothing about African Spirituality.

4.5/5 stars!

This is an excellent guide if you like tea and are also looking to different ways to do witchy things everyday! I highly recommend it, since you'll not only learn to brew different types of tea for various purposes, but you also get an herb correspondence guide that I find very useful.

First, thank you to Mari Silva and Booksprout for the ARC of this book.

Now, the review: This is a guide for trolldom and nordic magic. A guide, since it touches the basics of this kind of magic. It includes the use of myths, herbs and potions, and the values that make the nordic culture the thriving, beautiful culture we all feel attracted to and love today.
The author shares a ton of information as to what it is Trolldom, how to use our natural resources and the history of the culture to add to our daily magical practices. It is really interesting, if a bit all over the place, but interesting and useful nonetheless. The book covers numerology, cord magic, the influence of colour, using the right resources, potions, as well as elf and dwarf magic.
The bit I couldn't connect to or didn't feel was necessary to add was the information of the weapons (in mythology), since I am sure it can be interesting to some, it just didn't feel like it belonged to me.

What I really appreciate and I'm sure it's going to be used by me regularly is the herb and potions section, since the author provides a great list of herbs with it's magical correspondence and uses.

I'm sure I'm going to consult this book many times in the future!

If you are curious about this sabbat, this is a factual book that will guide you with plenty of information.
Easy to understand and also incorporates information of the celebration and practices in other cultures.

4.5/5 Stars.

This a sad story. A heartbreaking story of a girl living and growing in a harsh world. A harsh world full of injustices, of racism, a girl growing alone while growing in a big family. This is the story of someone who grew up misunderstood and judged for not fitting in, but who also learned to make a hard experience a love letter. This book is for the Jo March's of the world. You are not alone.

This was a interesting and reflective reading for me.
Like I said to a witchy friend, it kind of reminds me to curanderismo (I know it is obviously not the same) and I love the being in touch with nature mentioned. I hope I'll be able to adapt some of the receipts the author mention in my practice.
