A true enemies to lovers with lots of feels.

I’ll start by saying that this is not as action packed as previous books by this author but that in no way diminished the enjoyment I had reading this heartfelt romance which had me fully engaged from the first page.

Circumstances have made Justin and Charlie enemies since their school days. When Charlie returns to his childhood home town the pain, hurt and anger towards Justin from that period in his life has not lessened at all. Justin has his own struggles and is no longer the schoolyard bully that he once was and is determined to become the man he’s meant to be.

There is no easy path to the eventual reconciliation of who they both are now, their changing perceptions of one another and their eventual romantic relationship. What is undeniable is the sizzling chemistry between them which ignites into numerous heated and steamy scenes beautifully balanced with sweet and tender moments that melted my heart.

I went from feeling heart sore for these two wonderful characters, to laughing out loud at the witty banter, shaking my head at antics of the well known meddling friends from previous books and having the biggest smile on my face for Justin and Charlie’s HEA.

This is a fantastic start to the Wild Heart Ranch series and I’m excited for more!

Max is the poster child for body positivity, he’s a full figured femme man who’s wonderfully vibrant in personality and clothing. Targan is a somewhat reserved professor who is a gentle and caring silver fox, cinnamon roll orc leading a somewhat reclusive life with his books.
Circumstances bring these two wonderful men together in Mystic Hollow where the Otherkind can live in peace and magic is real. Soon Max endears himself to not only Targan and the orclings in his care but everyone else in town with his enthusiasm and lust for life. The chemistry between Max and Targan is undeniable and when they begin to slowly explore that side of the relationship the steam builds.
This is very enjoyable and heartwarming read with adorable characters, an element of lurking menace and an HEA that had me smiling. We also get a peek into the who gets their story told in the next book and I can’t wait!

4.5 stars.

Ant and Erik leave Wild Heart Ranch on a journey fueled by retribution as Ant uses his skills, honed by Anders and Hopper, to reclaim his life from those who traumatised and abused him.

This is also a journey where these two wonderful men finally get together. Erik takes off his blinders and sees Ant for the brave and courageous young man that he his. It also helps that Ant proves to Erik that he has the skills to better men much larger than himself and Erik is suitably chastised. Their relationship includes plenty of chemistry, communication and steam alongside sweet tender cuddles and as Ant has his revenge the blood and clean up that comes with it.

I love the personal growth of Erik and Ant as they negotiate not only their relationship but how their past affects them but doesn’t define them. It’s also fun having Hopper and Anders pop in and cameos from the monsters and billionaires. My heart hurt at the impact of Ants past but it was also all warm and fuzzy as he became the man he truly wanted to be with the love of his life forever beside him.

I really enjoyed this engaging low angst small town romance. Max comes to Collier’s Creek to meet his half sister who owns a ranch. Nash is a snarky and grumpy cowboy who believes Max has ulterior motives for coming onto the ranch. These two likeable characters are the ying to the others yang and there’s undeniable chemistry between them which turns heated once they give in to their mutual attraction. The plot line involving the actions of Max and his sister’s dead beat father held my interest and whilst it provided a bit of angst for Max and Nash, it is perfectly balanced with the romance element of the story. Their HEA made me smile and I look forward to more in this multi author series.

Kai has been in love with his oblivious bestie Silas for 20 years and it’s reached the point where he can’t take the pain of unrequited love any longer. After some reevaluation Kai sets boundaries regarding their friendship, fails to mention the change to Silas then ghosts him for months.
As they navigate through the changes I really wanted to sit them down and yell at them to communicate! The failure to do so lead to lots of feels, lots of pining, anger and misunderstanding between them until they both laid themselves bare and put it all in the line. After 20 years and plenty of struggles along the way, these two wonderful men finally got their hard earned and well deserved HEA.
With an engaging plot, plenty of feels, plenty of heat when these two besties finally get themselves sorted out and plenty to make me smile, this made for a very enjoyable read and I was definitely cheering for these two along the way.
