The collaboration of Eden Finley and Saxon James has produced another superbly written hockey romance with a great cast of main and secondary characters, pacing that makes the plot flow seamlessly and a book that is an absolute joy to read.
The very likeable Jacobs and Beck truly are rivals to begin with and they really enjoy pushing each other’s buttons. After circumstances force them to spend time together, those pesky things called “feelings” start to get a bit confusing.
It’s so much fun watching those feelings develop into a relationship and watching Jacobs and Beck accept who they are and what they mean to each other. When they do the heat rises and steamy times begin, as does a very sweet (in their unique way) romance ending in a delightful HEA.
If you enjoy a rivals to lovers, double bi-awakening, out for you hockey romance which is low angst, humorous, is an engaging enjoyable read and includes a game of gay chicken, then I highly recommend this book.

I mostly enjoyed this instalment in the series which comes with the usual humorous antics of the Kelly clan. Especially their WhatsApp family group messages.
This time Aiden and Ben get their story told.
These guys have been hot for each other for eleven years and their back and forth relationship had a few big hurdles to get over.
Aiden is not out to his family or in his chosen career, though that’s not by his choice. His reasoning not to be out to his very supportive family seemed a bit unrealistic to me. Ben is out and doesn’t want to be closeted and he’s too scared to face his feelings for Aiden who never gives up on him.
There’s definitely chemistry between them and sexy times over the years do occur with plenty of dirty talk but I found that did become a bit repetitive.
They do manage to figure out how to be together and find their way to a HEA.
Overall an easy read that includes a bit of angst, a large, loud family and bad karaoke singing.

I really enjoyed this the second book in the series. Once again it’s well crafted and I fell back into this magical world very quickly.
William and Tragin are wonderful characters who each have their part to play in the prophecy that’s the overall story arc.
William is unaware of his magic until he reaches 25 years old, he’s nerdy, extremely smart but still somehow manages to summon Tragin. Tragin the gorgeous leather wearing Daddy demon. Things certainly heat up when these two finally yield to the chemistry between them.
Interesting side characters include the snarky squirrel familiar Phillip who holds his own with anyone, and Ki the magical being with a delightful way of bungling his words.
This is a very easy enjoyable read with no angst, mild kink and we are left with the scene being set for the next in the series.

This well crafted book offers so much. Well developed characters, smooth flow and perfect pacing to keep me turning the pages and a suspense plot as an overall story arc.
Henley and Levar want a relationship but can’t due to conflict of interest. Unfortunately for them, they just can’t stay away from each other, have buckets of chemistry sparking between them, enjoy engaging in witty flirtatious banter and share lots of feels. When they do manage to get together the heat levels rise and this may be assisted by the wearing of sexy lingerie by one of them. They have some major hurdles to overcome but they do get their well earned HEA.
There’s also plenty of interesting side characters that add to the storyline and I look forward to future books in the series. I can’t wait to see who’s up next and to explore further the suspense plot.
This was an engaging, amazing read that I couldn’t put down. Yes, politics do play a role in this (more as an aside) as it is set in the White House, but it’s the romance between Henley and Levar that takes centre stage.
