I really enjoyed this well crafted standalone spinoff from the Chosen One universe by Macy Blake.
The world building and character development were on point with Conrad and Ryder being very likeable. Lots of chemistry between them with sparks flying. Conrad has to shift his world view to accomodate the existence of supernatural beings and he adjusts accordingly, after a moment to process.
There’s a bit of drama along the way but Ryder and Conrad get their HEA with a bit of assistance from some very interesting side characters.
We are left with a sneak peak into the next book and I’m really looking forward to it’s release.

In this instalment of the Hells Ankhor series Tex and Jazz get their story told.
I liked how they went from best friends growing up together to brothers in arms at the club to finally lovers. It took them some time to find their way but they eventually got their HEA. A few hurdles had to be jumped, and some miscommunication occurred, but nothing derailed their romance once it started. It was also nice to see the conclusion to an overall story arc from the previous books.
A very enjoyable read and we’re left with the promise of another to come.

Great start to new series.

I do enjoy a good small town romance and this has so much more. Fated mates who are both unsure about loving someone again, chosen family and a small town of misfit shifters and psychics who didn’t belong anywhere else.
Liam and Ross are both so lovely and I really just wanted to hug them. As fated mates they have instant chemistry but don’t immediately act upon it.
This is an engaging read with minimal angst, some heat and a cast of interesting side characters just wanting their story told. I’m looking forward to more adventures in Fox Hollow.
