Julian and Parker have been best friends for 20 years and for a lot of that time Julian has had an unrequited crush on Parker. With Parker soon to be married Julian decides it’s time to let that crush go no matter how difficult that proves to be.

Circumstances result in an unmarried Parker and a still crushing Julian having to spend time together in Julian’s cabin in Aster Valley. So begins a journey of self discovery between these two wonderful characters as they navigate the complexities of their relationship changing from the best of friends to lovers. When that happens the heat between them certainly sparks some steamy moments and some beautifully tender intimate moments.

This is a very enjoyable and engaging read that includes some well meaning meddling friends, banter that made me chuckle at times and a HEA that left me feeling very happy.

Owen is certainly one very grumpy bakery owner who has forgotten how to have fun whilst baker Parker is so very opposite, full of fun and sunshine. Both of these very likeable characters are hiding their broken pieces from each other and the world. After working together for months Owen has an epiphany and finally sees Parker for who he is, a kind and generous fun loving man. A man who has been crushing on him for a while. Along with plenty of chemistry to heat things up between them there’s tender caring moments, a fun Santa/Elf experience and just enough angst to make me smile when Owen and Parker got their HEA.

This is a story of overcoming and rising above an abusive past by bouncing back every time, learning that life goals can be fluid and finding the one who is perfect for you even if he doesn’t embrace your singing!

Finn and Harley are the 2 MC’s in this angst free insta love story. Finn is hilarious, sassy, feisty and protective of those he loves. Harley is a beautiful soul who’s a bit of a hermit. Instant chemistry, high heat, engaging story and likeable characters. I couldn’t put it down. I found this to be a refreshing, light, humorous read, especially good after a heavier book.
