Fergus is a really grumpy vampire who doesn’t like people whilst his beloved Montgomery is a very social fae who likes to use his magic for a bit of mischief every now and then. He is also very adorable and I just wanted to give him big squishy hugs.
As fated mates their connection is instant and the chemistry sizzling although Fergus does attempt to take things slow it really doesn’t work! Montgomery doesn’t let his inexperience stop him and heat levels are pretty high resulting in another baby for the Gem.
This is a very enjoyable and sweet read with just a dash of angst and a beautiful HEA for two wonderful characters. Another great instalment in the series.

Absolutely brilliant.

Wow, this instalment of the Hidden Species series was a one sitting, don’t want to end read. Hooked me in and wouldn’t let me go.
Alistair is the most quirky, weird, dangerously competent Hellhound that can be oh so loveable. He knows the power of his puppy dog eyes and pouty bottom lip and is not afraid to use it. Adrian, the species leader finds that he has little resistance to the sexy Hellhound. There’s plenty of chemistry between them and before too long Alistair has to reassess his no relationship status and enjoys informing others that Adrian is his “lover”.
The overall story arc continues and there certainly are some unexpected twists along the way which keep things very interesting.
All of the characters from the previous books are featured and they do provide plenty of comic relief. As Noah says, “.......they’ve sucked me into the vortex of their idiocy.”
This is a truly enjoyable, entertaining and engaging read with minimal angst, humour and a cast of interesting characters trying to save the world.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough and it would be of great benefit to read the other books first.

Enjoyable MM enemies to lovers slow burn.

What a weird and sometimes outrageous world this author has created. Rex is a billionaire and former assassin who has a group of friends, also assassins, called the Blood Brothers. They all work together on both the legitimate and the less than legal aspects of the company.
Mason is a good man who at times can be awkward and naive. He also has a very involved and complex history with his enemy Rex. A history that includes him trying to do very bad things to Rex but they just turn out to be really funny attempts at ‘being bad’.

Circumstances have Mason working for Rex and and being together highlights the chemistry between them, even if Mason doesn’t want to like Rex in any way and Rex doesn’t want romantic commitment to any man. Slowly but surely the UST builds and they finally give into it resulting in some steamy times.

This romantic suspense has lots of action, humour and drama and a very interesting cast of side characters who each have unique personalities and a set of unique skills.

I wasn’t aware that this was a spin off series until I’d started reading but it didn’t detract from this book at all - no moments of confusion, just interest in the characters.

Maximus and Kym are really likeable main characters who are fated mates. Maximus is a soul collector from Otherworld who appears intimidating but is actually a bit of a softie. Kym is a tattoo artist, loves a bit of lace and very quickly gets his head around the whole fated mates, other realms information when told. The chemistry between them is fairly obvious and they soon get together as fated mates do.

The overall story arc is a good versus evil scenario which I gathered is connected to the previous series. All works out in this instalment but the battle is far from over and there’s some very interesting side characters left to get their own HEA. This is a very enjoyable read with great characters and the world building is very well done.

Wonderful read with lots of feels.

Lisa Henry has given us another superbly crafted book with characters that have found a place in my heart.

Marco is a world renowned rock star with the typical rock star image. An image that masks the compassionate and patient person that he really is. Ben is such an innocent soul after a lifetime of fundamentalist doctrine and the struggle between his faith and his sexuality has almost broken him.

Circumstances bring these two amazing men together and through some beautifully sensitive writing we see the struggles Ben has being slowly but surely taken out, examined and exposed for what they are. After his journey of self discovery Ben is able to live his truth. All with the kind and caring Marco being a pillar of support, who even with a couple of insecurities of his own to deal with, patiently gives Ben the space he needs.

There’s lots of feels, humour and quiet acts of bravery as these two men journey to their heartfelt HEA.
I love this instalment in the Star Crossed series and eagerly await more.

Wow, just wow!

Another masterpiece from this author combining mystery, action, ghosts and romance within an original plot that had me hooked from the first page.

The dialogue between Hiro and his ghost besties is hilarious and only gets funnier when grumpy Maddox hits the scene unaware of Hiro’s ability. Maddox is very sceptical of Hiro and his “imaginary friends” but his opinion slowly changes as they investigate the mystery together. Then their antics, banter and sarcasm provides some more laugh out loud moments.

The mystery element has a real sense of menace about it and left me embarrassed every time I was convinced I’d picked the villain of the piece. I was way off target! The romance element is a low angst slow burn which is focused more on the characters than an abundance of steamy times. Combine these two elements with perfect pacing, a seamless plot and interesting side characters and you are left with an amazing first instalment of this new series.

There are more books planned for Hiro and Maddox and I can’t wait to see where the author takes them next.
