This is a beautiful and moving story about first time love between two sweet and inexperienced friends set against the back drop of freight hopping across Canada.
Elian and Tyler burrowed deeply into my heart from the very beginning of this wonderfully written masterpiece. The depth of their friendship and the ebbs and flows of their relationship balanced perfectly with the hurt/comfort and found family themes with just the correct amount of angst to make my eyes leak at times. Through everything they faced, either alone or together, they showed their interminable inner strength, even if at times they doubted such strength existed. Elian made heart wrenching decisions to bravely and courageously fight his inner battles to ensure the well earned HEA he and Tyler deserved.
It was fantastic spending time with the Rail Rider family again and I eagerly await the next in the series. I cannot recommend this book/series highly enough.

3.5 stars. Not a bad read but it didn’t keep me fully engaged and I found myself skimming in parts. Enjoyed the close family dynamics of the Mann family and also the MCs revealed their secrets to each other it didn’t cause hysterics and drama. First in a new series and I’ll give the second book a chance to see if the writing style suits me better.
Whilst Bishop has the confidence of the FBI agent that he is, he also has a vulnerability about him which Quinn brings out. He’s also able to calm the mind of adrenaline junkie Quinn.
Circumstances bring these two together on New Years Eve and so begins a relationship that differs from what either have experienced before. Bishop has only had a rather toxic relationship in the past and Quinn has never had one. The chemistry between them is undeniable and brings a lot of heat to their romance, giving Bishop the opportunity to explore what he truly enjoys.
There’s some drama relating to Bishop’s job but the romance itself has minimal angst and I really enjoyed the fact that their HEA stuck it to Bishop’s toxic family!
I much preferred the writing style of this book compared to the first in the series so it held my attention much better and made it a more enjoyable read.

Christmas story with a difference.
This Christmas story does have some darkness in it so please be aware of the trigger warnings and take heed if necessary. It’s what makes it stand out from the regular Christmas books and I enjoyed having something a bit different to read.
Hunter and Otto are fabulously written characters and Ajax the dog is a great side character. There’s pretty much instant attraction, lots of chemistry and it doesn’t take long for Hunter and Otto to hit the steamy times. There’s some emotional and angsty moments relating to Hunter and why he moved to a small Welsh town but there’s no angst in regard to the romance element of the plot.
A very enjoyable and engaging Christmas read with some hurt/comfort and a well deserved HEA.
