Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Nicky James certainly knows her craft! This is a superbly written, perfectly paced intriguing plot that kept me engaged from the very first line. All balanced by her wonderful story telling ability,

The two main characters, Jason and Skylar made their way into my heart and settled there. They are strong, flawed and complex. Jason is older and circumstances have left him extremely grumpy, unable to trust and with his mental health unraveling. Skylar is a 25 year old bouncing ray of sunshine music addict that can’t stop himself from babbling. He is also the rock that Jason desperately needs. The depth of their relationship changes and grows as they navigate some very bumpy roads on their way to a well deserved HEA. Aided and abetted by some very interesting side characters.

I highly recommend this trope filled book which includes age gap, romantic suspense, teacher/student, hurt/comfort with grumpy/sunshine guy thrown in as well.
It’s medium angst, medium heat with some drama and lots of feels.

This is such a wonderful, well written and engaging read.
Seth and Cohen are both so adorable, both confused about their sexuality and both on a dating app talking to each other, without realising that they know one another. The banter back and forth in their messaging was at times hilarious and that banter continues once they get together.
Their relationship is a bit of a slow burn as they try to find the labels that best suit them and it’s such a joy witnessing the connection that they build together. That connection becomes chemistry which eventually ignites and things become very steamy between them.
A small dash of angst doesn’t derail them and their HEA and the the journey to it had me smiling constantly.
Foster and Zach (book 1) are an integral piece of Seth’s story, Jacob and Beck (book 2) make appearances and an interesting new side character, Asher, is introduced. I can’t wait for his story next!

This is a fun, low angst romance between two very loveable main characters that had me smiling. The authors writing style flows along nicely, kept me engaged and had me cheering on the main characters.
Felix is a vibrant, cheerful and charming personal trainer to celebrities and Ethan is an adorable, introverted geeky talent agent/screenwriter. It’s easy to feel connected to these two as they navigate their insecurities and self doubts whilst starting a new relationship. They have amazing chemistry together that throws a lot of heat and they eventually become confident within themselves and with each other to get a very sweet HEA.
This is the second book in the series with the characters from the first making appearances. It can be read as a standalone but they are both such enjoyable reads that it would enhance the experience by reading them in order.
