I couldn’t wait to return to Piedras Island so I could read more of Mat and Niall’s slow burn romance with a side of suspense and I was not disappointed with this page turner.
Niall is still as taciturn as ever and Mat is still the overworked sheriff of the Island but their connection continues to spark. I loved watching their relationship develop further. It’s a low steam, slow burning romance with tender moments combined with banter and another mystery to solve. The suspense subplot was done so well that I was truly surprised when the antagonist was revealed. More fascinating characters are introduced and the scene is set for another mystery in the next instalment of the series.
If you enjoy a well crafted romantic suspense story with two likeable but at times grumpy characters, low angst, a great cast of side characters and a wonderful dog for a sidekick, then I highly recommend this book and series.
This cannot be read as a standalone.

This is a wonderful tale of sweet, first time love that’s fairytale meets magic.
Troy and Park are two very likeable characters who are victims of their times. They each want a relationship together but circumstances are beyond their control won’t permit it.
Their world is made up of the rich and the poor, magic and marriages of convenience, werewolves and rent boys and wands and potions.
For two virgins, Park and Troy sure do create a lot of steam together in this low angst, no drama sweet romance where their falling in love literally changes their world. The world building is well done and there’s a great cast of interesting side characters. This is multiple POV tale which I really enjoyed.

I did expect some “bad boy” behaviour when there’s a rockstar/model pairing but not in this case. Sebastian and Apollo and both likeable characters who initially meet when they are both broken and lost souls. They meet again 5 years later and the chemistry is instant and when that spark ignites everything heats up. Sebastian is beyond sweet and not the stereotypical badly behaved rockstar. Apollo hasn’t ever experienced love and it takes some time for him to let his fears go. With minimal angst they do get their HEA. There’s an interesting cast of side characters that add to the overall story and one character is the subject of the next book in the series.

This is the third instalment in the After Oscar series and it’s absolutely wonderful. An age gap, city versus small town, almost enemies to lovers romance.
Sawyer and James are engaging likeable characters that are on opposites sides negotiating the fate of a run down family owned motel. It also muddies the waters when the chemistry between them is almost combustible and heat levels rise when it ignites.
This book had me in its clutches almost immediately and I couldn’t put it down. There were moments that I laughed out loud and times when the angsty scenes made me wipe the odd tear away. After negotiating a few hurdles, James and Sawyer get their much wanted HEA in this beautifully sweet romance.
There’s some fun side characters to keep things interesting and characters from previous books drop in for a visit.
This can be read as a standalone but it’s well worth reading the 2 previous book in this outstanding series.

What a roller coaster ride Max and Isaac had to endure before they get their HEA.
They are two very likeable characters but they both have a miscommunication problem. This leads to sorts of ups and downs after their very first rather dramatic meeting. A meeting in which they both acknowledged “love at first sight”. Even when separated by events and things beyond their control, their initial attraction develops further and the bond between them strengthens. There’s lots of chemistry, sweet and tender moments and lots of steam. Add in some drama, a dash of angst and a cast of wonderful side characters and you’re left with a very enjoyable read.

A fantastic start to new series. What an amazing book. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Brilliantly written, terrific character development, a well paced story arc that kept me constantly engaged, just the right amount of angst, sexual encounters with steam and one of the most beautiful, heartfelt contemporary romances between two main characters that I’ve read.
Andrew and Brian do have a lot to figure out before they get their HEA. The huge leap from friends to lovers, confusion over labels, acceptance from their friends and just a couple of other things to keep the story interesting.
I loved every moment of this book and can’t wait for more in the series.

This wonderful story just really clicked with me. The writing and character development are so well done and the romance between Zane and Liam flows along at the perfect pace. I read this in one sitting because I was so invested in the outcome.
These two main characters are so much fun and easy to like. There’s so many ridiculous pet names from Zane and dead pan/witty banter between him and Liam. Theirs is a slow burn romance but once the spark flames the heat levels skyrocket. A couple of issues need to be dealt with by both parties but they do get their HEA.
If you’re after a well crafted book, with no angst, sweet tender moments, laugh out loud moments and goofy pet names, then I highly recommend this book.
This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone. The main characters from the first book do have an important role so to enhance your reading experience you may choose to read the first book.

Fantastic start to new series.

From the very first page this book hits you with emotions, lots of emotions and then some snark is added, some sweetness and some wit to even it all out. The romance, mystery and action kept me turning the pages eager to find out what happens next.
Kennedy and Gunnar do not hit it off immediately and their first impressions of each other are not that great. We then get to witness the growth of their characters and the chemistry between them as the story progresses. A story about finding your chosen family, being grateful, helping others and above all acceptance and love. There’s a wonderful supporting cast of side characters and the scene is set for another characters upcoming story.
If you enjoy a well written contemporary romance/mystery with flawed but wonderful main characters, lots of feels, a bit of angst, some steam and a well earned HEA then I highly recommend this book.
