It’s great to see quiet troubled Westin get his HEA. The burdens he carries from his past have haunted him but when arriving in Gaoxing he finds a sense of calm. He also happens to meet crown Prince Jin who is so very sweet, compassionate and just a bit cute when trying to be angry.
Circumstances have these two very likeable characters coming together to solve the problem of the numerous assassins after Jin and a spies within the palace walls.
There’s plenty of action mixed with some steam and sweet. Westin thinks he’s not good with words but he can pull out all the swooning romantic words when needed! With the level of danger to Jin all the team assemble and they, along with some other side characters keep things interesting. Especially Jin’s personal assistant who has plenty of sass and snark.
I found this to be a very enjoyable and engaging read and a wonderfull conclusion to the series.

Once again the Goddess has paired the perfect fated mates in Raiden and Alexander. But even though they are fated it doesn’t mean that everything runs smoothly for them.
Raiden is a gargoyle who is rather serious and is an enforcer for the Council. Alexander is doctor and an omega wolf who is having issues with his cousin who is his only remaining relative.
The initial meeting between these two very likeable characters isn’t ideal but they are able to overcome the minor miscommunication issue and the sizzling chemistry between them ignites. Being stuck inside for days due to a storm also means plenty of steamy times!
As fate would have it, Alexander becomes pregnant very quickly. It is a complicated pregnancy so please heed the authors warning at the beginning of the book.
