This book had a really slow start for me, but once we reached Part 2, I was fully invested. I would probably rate this higher if it weren’t for how out of it I was at the beginning. I love elspeth and ravyn

I love love love this kind of romance. This was the perfect balance of golden retriever girl meets grumpy guy. Turns out I like a slow burn friends to lovers situation.

Really fun and exciting book. I enjoyed the writing style from the first book, and now I’m all in on Ernest Cunningham's future adventures. I hope he manages to get used to murder following him around, because I’m ready to read about it.
