This book is absolutely stunning. From the very start Harrow's prose just gripped me - she was able to build these incredible sentences and paragraphs with beautiful language and still keep the story moving constantly. I flew through the story and just thought I wish I could have read this book at 12 or 13 years old - I would have been obsessed and probably written my own sequel just so I could keep the world alive.
The temerarius January is so dynamic and tough - I definitely want to be her friend. And I listened to this novel and was very impressed with the narrator - also named January!

This book is like the biggest and best sneeze. The kind that builds up and up and up until you finally let it out and it gives you the biggest release and arms full of goosebumps.
Terrible analogy? In any case, I was so frustrated and antsy throughout the book because I just wanted to KNOW what was going to happen! Moriarty sure knows how to make you stick around for a story... When we finally got to the end it was so satisfying and gratifying, even though I had figured it out (mostly) by the time I got there. I loved the connections between the women and how the story focused on them individually and on their relationships. I definitely want to read more by Moriarty!

The first book that made me actually stop and highlight passages in my Kindle (I knew there was a use for that). I enjoy so much watching John Green's videos on Youtube, and in this book I get to see a whole other side of him. If you like Perks of Being a Wallflower, you will definitely love this. And if you're one of those people like me who cry over words printed on a page, you will cry. But it is truly wonderful.

This is my favorite of the Cormoran Strike series so far. So much depth in the story and I honestly loved all of the red herrings.
Still so so so frustrated by Robin's strength in all areas except for her ability to leave Matthew behind. But I see how her relationship with him mirrors that of Strike and Charlotte's.
Wonderfully put together plot, and so exciting throughout after the somewhat slow beginning!

I actually loved the first half of the book. Living in the theater with the showgirls and all of the quirky characters that made the plays happen was a lovely escape from what I know. After the big scandal I appreciated how Vivian grew into herself over time and learned to love herself for who she was, but I wouldn't say that I noticed a particular 'theme' throughout the entire book. The second half seemed to distance itself from Vivian's thoughts and feelings in each situation, and I was missing her depth as the main character.
I did see a notice a lot of Elizabeth Gilbert's personality in Vivian in her strength and willingness to be an independent woman unashamed of who she was. I liked that Gilbert wrote Vivian as a woman ahead of her time.
For my first fiction book by Elizabeth Gilbert, I was pleased but not in love.

You know exactly what you're going to get from a Sarah Dessen book, and this one didn't disappoint. I needed a break from heavy novels and this was a perfect 3 day escape. Louna isn't the most interesting or unique of Dessen's girls, but I did appreciate her growth throughout the book. Ambrose was charming and unapologetic, and I appreciated how he brought how something different in Louna.
All in all, not my favorite Dessen, but good nonetheless.

In all honesty I think Corduroy is my favorite bear, but this is a cute and classic story.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little snack of a book! It took me about halfway through to really feel connected to the story and truly intrigued by what would happen. The premise with the men made me slightly uncomfortable basically the whole time which is why I loved the direction Jane went with it. The ending was so pleasing and a perfect bow around this simple, quick read.

Gripping and exciting throughout! What the book lacked in character building it *almost* made up for in story and world-building. Ready for book 2!

Added to my list of amazingly written books about the Holocaust. These books just seem to find me, and we read this one in my friend's book club. I loved the dynamic relationship between the sisters, and seeing how their personalities lent themselves to different ways to aid the cause. Beautiful scenery and excitement throughout. Definitely made me want to read another Kristin Hannah book.
