Interesting, I thought the story was over about halfway through, but she made a good ending still. The delicious love scenes ended at about the halfway point as well, which was disappointing. Other than that and the rather unoriginal storyline (because essentially it was a Robin Hood-esque evil cousin here to steal the throne) I loved the uniqueness of the characters. Finnula, though not entirely original, did a lot of unique things that you won't find in other medieval romances. Overall it was a quick, easy, and enthralling read that was a great break from the classics.

Reading again after a year.

Reading again after a year.

Reading again.

Reading the series for the second time. I figured a year-long break from Twilight was pretty reasonable.

The ending just didn't really do it for me. And in all honesty, the whole book just gave me the heebie-jeebies.

But other than that, it had all the good qualities of a Robert Langdon book. Bad guy, time limit thriller, crazy murders, beautiful girl...

A really fast read! I finished in about 2 and a half hours.
