Strong 4 Star Read. I really love Ali Hazelwood’s writing and I adore her heroines. STEM women are strong as hell. I loved reading about how women manage in these fields around men of all levels of support. I loved reading her spice and her story. But I finished the book and felt like there was just something not quite there. Not quite finished. Not quite put together.
SPOILERS:
I didn’t feel like Bea’s change of heart made sense in the context of what was happening - it was like, oh I didn’t realize he actually liked me that much. Well okay then I’ll get over my lifelong fear of commitment. And the gun and life threatening parts were…a little soap opera-y. Lastly, I really wanted more from Levi than Insta-love. We never really got an explanation of *what* exactly made him love Bea. Especially because he literally never talked to her or spent time with her in college. So truly just ‘love at first sight.’ It bothered me a lot. But all of that is forgiven for me in light of how cute their relationship was. And the excellent spice.

Fun and interesting! But always felt right on the cusp of being really good and much more exciting… wish there was a bit more action and a bit less ruminating.
Audiobook review - Texas accents were terrible. Nearly ruined it for me.

Better than book 2, but still not as well developed characters as book 1. The 🌶 almost saved it but…um…the Mars stuff?….. 😳😬😵💫

Listened to this one, and it was a 3 hour long miscommunication trope. The two main characters were uninteresting, bland, and had no back story or unique qualities. Other than one of them being Danish. So odd since the first in this series of novellas had a great dynamic main character.
I’ll still read the last in the series, but ick this one was really in enjoyable except for the spice at the end.

I will forever read everything Casey McQuiston writes. This is her truest and most honest book yet, and should be required high school reading. It's queer, it's beautiful, it's deep, and most of all uplifting. I adored this book and flew through it.

Quick and cute! I wish there had been more of a lead up from Liam to him suddenly just being…horny I guess? But an easy lighthearted audiobook!

3 stars is pretty generous. Maybe the regency romance genre isn’t for me because I found this incredibly dull. The Netflix show gave this story life, and it was only in picturing the characters from the show was I able to power through this story.

A truly amazing and haunting story that is really lingering with me and definitely gave me one night of creepy dreams. I would have loved to study this book in a creative writing or literature class - the symbolism and imagery is immaculate. I thought the big reveal felt a little too simple, or maybe the right word is easy? Not sure, but there were some missed opportunities I think the explore some more of the horror after the reveal happens.
Would recommend!

This book is like the biggest and best sneeze. The kind that builds up and up and up until you finally let it out and it gives you the biggest release and arms full of goosebumps.
Terrible analogy? In any case, I was so frustrated and antsy throughout the book because I just wanted to KNOW what was going to happen! Moriarty sure knows how to make you stick around for a story... When we finally got to the end it was so satisfying and gratifying, even though I had figured it out (mostly) by the time I got there. I loved the connections between the women and how the story focused on them individually and on their relationships. I definitely want to read more by Moriarty!

My favorite Emily Henry book yet. Nora is proud of who she is, and doesn't for one second try to change who she is or what she loves for anyone. There are many moments of gorgeous prose, especially toward the end. Fun concept for a story, and really well done. Sweet, loving, and heartfelt.
